Kendi Everyday

About a year ago when I decided to start this little gem of a blog, it took me at least seven and a quarter minutes to think of the perfect name for my random collection of ramblings and pictures. Then it became official. Imagine my dismay (yes, dismay), when I stumbled upon Kendi Everyday, an amazing blog who has quite the similar name to mine. This dismay took about five seconds to turn into love, true love, as I scrolled through about twenty pages of her cute outfits and funny stories.

If, like me, you ever stand in front of your closet thinking, "what in goodness gracious will I wear today, because I have absolutely NOTHING in here" (as a sky high pile of pants falls on your foot), here is my gift to you. Kendi often dresses in clothes she gets from Target, thrift stores, and shoes from Payless, and always finds a new combination to put them in. Give her outfits a quick gander and you will surely be inspired.

Straight Chillin'

Today was my third day off in a row. Thats right, third day. Thats three days in a row people.

And I am loving it. Got in some magazine time, sitting-on-a-dock time, cooking time, happy-hour-with-friends time, going-for-a-walk time, and cleaning time. Uh-huh, I am one happy girl. Now off to cook some pork chops and watch a movie.

Peace out, girl scouts.

Red Sailor Dress

Well folks, I am quite excited about one of my favorite vintage finds I sold. It has made its little vintagey voyage all the way over to the ol' United Kingdom and right into the arms of an adorable blogger named Carol. She has big plans to wear it to a wedding. I love seeing what people are doing with the clothes they buy from me, and I'm so excited this dress is being put to good use!

Remind Yourself

Girls Road Trip

My bestie Lauren came to visit me last week, and we took a road trip to San Fran in the Oldsmobile. Despite some wild squeaky noises it made as we drove through the downtown (we got some funny looks), we had a great trip down, and great weather when we were there.

Activities included:

Lots of walking around
Biking the Golden Gate Park
Laughing at the seals on Pier 39
Shopping thrift stores on Haight Street
Eating a great roast beef sandwich with balsamic onions
Learning how to open a wine bottle with no opener
Eating Pad Thai for the first time at a great restaurant
